On the weekend of September 10th-12th, FSR Motorsport Creations, Japan Auto and Fredric Aasbo headed to Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, Northern California. In a full on effort for a comeback after the crash in Las vegas last month, they gave it all at Formula Drift Round 6: Point of Impact.

The world class field of Formula Drift drivers was going at it on the beautiful venue for the seventh year in a row, but for Team FSR and Fredric Aasbo this was their debut at Infineon Raceway.

Deemed the Champ Killer this season, the team took out previous D1GP Champion Ryuji Miki and got a strong sixth place finish out of the forty teams entered. Having only participated at four out of six championship rounds in their 2010 Rookie Season, Team Japan Auto FSR is now sitting second in Rookie of The Year standings with the leader only 5 points ahead.

Next up is Formula Drift FINALS: Title Fight at Irwindale Speedway, held on the weekend of October 8th-9th. Home track to FSR Motorsport Creations, the team is looking forward to take on the competition yet again - and put it all at stake for the last time this season.

On Sunday Sept 18th, FSR will be asking our customers to come out an join us for a Speed Ventures road racing event at California Speedway in Fontana.  If you want to race your car, you'll just need to sign up on their website.  Make sure to mention FSR in order to get $30 off and a free garage!  For those interested in racing, go over the safety rules on the Speed Ventures website.  The car can be very basic, and doesn't need to be fast or modified; especially if you are a beginner.  If you'd like to have your car looked over before the race day, let us know soon, as we are booked up!  Call us for any questions.  This is a chance to get on a very fun racetrack for a fantastic price!

Fredric Aasbo, FSR Motorsport Creations and Japan Auto takes fourth place at Formula DRIFT: Streets of Long Beach!

Fredric Aasbo and the FSR Motorsport Creations Japan Auto team took out top names such as 2009 Formula DRIFT Champion Chris Forsberg in the NOS Energy Drink/MAXXIS Tire Nissan 350Z on their way to the final four. Leaving just three of the factory team heavy hitters such as Vaughn Gittin Jr., Rhys Millen and Tanner Foust before him on the podium, Fredric had the crowd go crazy over his super wide and consistent runs throuaghout the competition.  Starting with 52 of the best teams from around the world, the Japan Auto - FSR drift Supra shocked one after another heavy hitter and had Tanner's NASCAR powered Scion running scared.

- You brought style back to Formula DRIFT, Andy Yen, Official Judge of Formula DRIFT, commented after the tense battles.

Shaking off the outstanding first time outing for the new team, Fredric Aasbo and FSR Motorsport Creations are back in the shop updating the Japan Auto Supra from a slightly modified street car to a purpose built race car.
