AEM Universal Programmable Engine Management System (EMS):

AEM’s Universal Programmable Engine Management System adapts to any vehicle using our flying lead wiring harness and sensors (sold separately). In addition to the features found in our Plug & Play EMS, AEM’s Universal EMS also includes 10 independent, built-in peak & hold injector driver channels, direct drive ignition and dual wideband UEGO controllers. Peak & Hold injector drivers enable users to utilize low impedance injectors with a true 4/1 Peak & Hold injector drive circuit. The Direct Drive ignition feature allows users to drive a coil directly from the ECU without the need for an igniter or ignition module, and a wideband UEGO controller is an essential tuning tool that provides a 0-5v input signal for monitoring and tuning air/fuel ratios (AFR) on heavily modified high performance engines.

Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller

Monitor and control AFR through one unit

A wideband UEGO sensor controller accurately monitors Air/Fuel ratios (AFR) during the tuning process to prevent a lean fuel mixture, which could lead to engine damage. This unit combines our single-channel wideband UEGO controller and gauge display into one unit, uniting unsurpassed AFR accuracy and control with an easy-to-read interface. AEM’s Gauge-Type Wideband UEGO Controller features a digital LED display and sweeping LED “needle” that changes colors as AFR changes from rich to lean. The unit’s 52mm (2-1/16”) gauge housing fits in most gauge pods and can be remotely mounted virtually anywhere.

TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller

The first easy-to-use electronic boost controller

AEM’s TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller is an electronic boost controller that combines the simplicity of a manual boost controller with the added ease of adjusting boost levels through a gauge interface. There is no external interface required for set up, and it is fully functional right out of the box. There are no gimmicks or special software programs included. If you want more boost, press the button on the right of the gauge face. If you want less boost, press the button on the left of the gauge face. It’s that simple, and IT WORKS!

AEM’s TRU-BOOST Gauge-Type Controller includes everything you need, including an on-board 29 psig pressure sensor, built-in Overboost protection with two timed shutdown levels, a scramble boost setting and a low-side output for a warning light.  AEM offers a 75 psia boost sensor for high boost applications (sold separately).

AEM’s boost control solenoid (included) is the only one specifically manufactured for automotive boost applications, which means it won’t corrode and stick from exposure to rich fuel mixtures.  It is pressure tested to 100 psi and includes -4 AN fittings to eliminate any chance of leaks.

AEM Fuel/Ignition Controller (F/IC)

OVERVIEW

The F/IC gives users with OBD-II race vehicles and non-factory forced induction systems the ability to retard ignition and deliver accurate amounts of fuel without the need for outdated FMUs or “boost hiding” controllers. This system works parallel to the factory ECU preventing tuning limitations due to complex factory timing patterns. 21x17 maps with configurable load and RPM breakpoints are easily accessed with the F/IC's Windows-based tuning software. The F/IC draws power from PC USB interface for quick and easy calibration changes.

PRECISE FUEL DELIVERY

The F/IC intercepts the signal to the stock injectors, allowing the user to modify pulse-width by +/-100%. The F/IC is the only piggy-back system that can decrease injector pulse-width, allowing the user to drive larger aftermarket injectors* while still maintaining proper air / fuel ratios. This powerful system can also tap into the factory injector signal and work independently to drive up to six (6) additional injectors.

TIMING RETARD CONTROL

The F/IC has the ability to retard timing by intercepting and delaying the outputs from the cam and crank position sensors to the engine- with no adverse affect on applications equipped with variable cam timing. The F/IC can retard timing from the factory system based on engine RPM and load inputs.

SENSOR CALIBRATION & CONTROL

The F/IC can also be used to recalibrate / clamp the MAF sensor, eliminating common problems with non-boosted factory MAFs. The on-board MAP sensor allows for proper fueling in boosted conditions.

CAN-BUS SYSTEMS NOT AFFECTED

Since the F/IC works in conjunction with the factory ECU, late model-vehicles equipped with a CAN-BUS system retain functionality of climate controls, dash and other components on the network.

WATER/ALCOHOL INJECTION KIT

 

The Water/Alcohol Injection Kit is universal by design and adapts to virtually any vehicle via multiple jets to suit your car’s power requirements.

 

AEM’s Water/Alcohol Injection Kit reduces air inlet temperatures, which allows you to increase boost pressure and advance timing without having to run higher-octane fuel. It’s like getting to run 100+ octane gas for the price of Premium!

 

AEM’s Water/Alcohol Injection Kit includes all the features necessary to do water/alcohol injection right. No hidden costs or optional components are required. Unlike other popular kits on the market, we include a one or five gallon tank with a fluid level sensor standard. Also, because we think engine protection is a requirement, not an option, we include our Boost Safe output in every controller we design. This feature allows you to retard timing or reduce boost if the system runs out of fluid or detects an error. With the AEM Water/Alcohol injection kit, you get all the best features in one low priced kit.

 

Once installed, the Water/Alcohol Injection Kit uses a boost-dependent, variable-flow progressive controller to determine the amount of water/alcohol mixture (up to 50%) to feed into the inlet stream from the included one-gallon reservoir. The controller commands a progressive 150-PSI pump that delivers the mixture, and flow adjustments at the inlet are made via three included jets designed to match most engine power requirements. The result is significant horsepower gains using pump gas—at about half the cost of Racing Fuel.
